Waiting and Hoping... new gallery art

My most recent collages are a new twist on an old vintage photo I found from a movie. This first one "Hoping" is of a beautiful woman (actress,Dorothy Lamour) and she is speaking in Spanish "where are you my love... I am waiting".
Her love is framed at her heart, with many admirers surrounding her.

This next mixed media collage "Waiting" is of his (actor, Ernie Kovacs) love and pledge to the woman of his heart (if you know who this actor is, please tell me in your comment). He is responding in Spanish "I am here my love.... I am waiting".

Such romantic, faithful souls!

These are available in our etsy shop.

Those are beautiful. I love how you captured the feeling in both pieces. The colors are really rich and passionate. Gorgeous!!

Hun, it's Dorothy Lamour, not Loretta (said the Turner Classic Movie addict). At any rate, your art is gorgeous!

Oh, sorry, I missed that you wanted to know the actor...that is Ernie Kovacs.

Hello there! Just wanted to let you know that I was horridly WRONG about the male actor being Ernie Kovacs. He was Arturo de Cordoba, and the movie that he and Lamour were in together that those publicity prints were from was called "A Medal for Benny". You can see the publicity shot of them together (in the exact same costumes even) at:

The guy looks a lot like Kovacs and he and Lamour had done a Playhouse 90 on TV together once, but it wasn't this. Sorry about that. I hate to be wrong. :-(((

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments! Come back again soon!

xoxo,
Aimeslee
