Mother Wisdom

Motherhood is such a weighty responsibility and sacred trust, and at times brings you such challenges that are so overwhelming. One can only hope and pray that the children come to a place of trust to receive the wisdom you are trying to impart, and spare themselves, and you, so much heartache and pain.
I recently went through a very trying time with my oldest daughter, who has almost always insisted on learning the hardest ways possible.  This painting, "Mother Wisdom" was my creative release during this painful period, and shows the mother holding her heart of love, and the key of wisdom she longs to give to her children (the nest of six eggs...my six daughters!).

Abigail,
This piece, your art is wonderfulllllll! So lovely and dear. My sense (from watching) is that with time each of your lovely daughters deeply knows your love and wisdom. You have created a safe haven for them that they can always count on, this is a huge gift. With love all ways,
Tammie

Beautiful painting hon - I'm so very "There" with you. I have five and it has been a long drama filled struggle. I love, love, love them & it frequently hurts me in huge ways - but we hang in there and keep loving. They do come around in time. {{{hugs}}}} Sarah

As a child that learned a lot the hard way and now a parent that wants her children not to learn the hard way, I love this.......I am sure that the wisdom you have given your children is still there despite the choices they sometimes make.

Peace and Blessings,
Kiva

Oh so glad to read someone else has troubles, too! So many times I feel like I'm the only person in the world to feel frustrated and guilt-ridden!

Six daughters how lucky you are.

Your picture is beautiful. It is hard raising children, but she is learning even when you don't think she is.

All the best.

Six daughters! What a blessing! I have a grown daughter and 3 year old granddaughter! What would life be or would have been without those giggles and feminine wiles????? My daughter's favorite ploy were "hound dog" eyes! You know the ones...She was looking up with her big brown eyes through her lashes! Needless to say..they got her everywhere. Now, our Anna is using her blue eyes to charm!
:)Great post!
